One of the best places to eat in and around the lake district. It is clean and takes covid regulations seriously. The staff is professional and friendly and the food is super delicious. I'm not a big fish fan, so I was happy to find a chicken fillet on the menu, which was one of the better ones I ate lately. 😄👍 Lovely views from the terrace outside. Beware: in summer weekends, expect a queue outside for a table.

The main reason for never coming again is service. What kind of mindset is this in 2025 to just let ppl wait at the door without ANY info instead of just nicely saying to please wait etc. We finally came to the bar tired of waiting cause obviously nobody cared to come and say a word, they were just arrogantly excusing that's the rules, we don't have a person at the door blah blah. Three girls are just standing behind the bar chatting doing nothing literally the whole time, they can just be on a standby and be trained to come over and inform customers but no, better to get defensive. It's mind blowing!

We enjoyed the food although its a captive audience (not a lot of other choices during the week), so the prices are a little higher than you might expect. It was nice to have alternatives to fish though!
